Wow. That mean that the dealers are hurting if they can’t sell cars.
I really liked it. Of course I like VW’s anyway, but only since I started reviewing them about 10 years ago.
I have an Audi A4 Avant, bought used, which is basically a Higher end Passat. Best car I’ve ever owned.
Cheers,
Jim
The Audi TT and R8 are otherworldly beautiful too.
That’s the one I have, except mine is the wagon. Fantastic car, though I wish it had more low end torque, like a diesel.
I have a manual transmission and sport suspension, too, as well as the V6. Love it!
Cheers,
Jim
“Ive got one of these VWs...Leave me alone.”
I agree, they are great cars...hence the drive to eliminate them. But be VERY CAREFUL. All it takes is a VW dealer getting their hands on your car, and they can push a software ‘fix’ that will effectively turn your car into a lemon (and they may not even tell you). Look up DPF - it’s good for 120,000 miles per the original design and costs thousands to replace. But the idea is that it was designed to operate 1% of the time, at most - in order to pass emissions tests - otherwise it’s off (actually, I’m not sure of the above, but I’m sure you get the point).
If it now gets set to operate 100% of the time, you’ll likely be replacing it much more often, and effectively lose the cost advantage of having a TDI.
So be careful!
“So be careful!”
Thanks for the info, I shall.
Audi A4 wagon is rare. I am familiar with the A3 (wagon) and that is a beautiful car too.
I love it. Bought it four years ago, nearly. Low mileage, mint condition. The only sign of wear was on the shift knob, so it was worn the right way, LOL!
Would like a little more low end torque from the V6, though.
Cheers,
JIm
