The guy sounds Scottish. Maybe he was a friend of Trump’s mother, who actually was Gaelic-speaking when she first arrived in America. Mr. Benson is old enough to know a few Gaelic words. One of my g-grands was from Scotland, and I could hear the Scottish inflections and figures of speech in his child who became my grandparent.
It’s a testament to Trump’s loyalty that he still honors this older professional by having him shoot photos of his family for his presidential campaign, forty years on.
