In the hotel room with the red wall video he says he’s in Dallas ‘in the streets.’ The original video was taken down by YouTube.

Baton Rouge cop killer was in Dallas during attack there

Long’s time in Dallas

In a recent video posted on YouTube July 10, Long, who was African-American, speaks at the camera eloquently about recent protests and officer-involved shootings, often employing the motifs of blood and money and revolution.

He cites figures ranging from Nat Turner to Malcolm X and George Washington.

That video, he says, was recorded from Dallas, where five police officers were recently killed by a sniper targeting cops.

Long mentions the July 4 holiday as a celebration of an uprising against oppressive forces, and without mentioning Micah Xavier Johnson — the Dallas shooter — by name, he questions why some

violent actions are perceived as criminal while others are celebrated.

A video posted two days earlier is a bit more cryptic, but makes more sense in the aftermath of his shooting rampage.
“I just wanted to let y’all know, don’t affiliate me with nothing,” he says. He says he wanted people to know that his actions were his alone.

He then goes on to list organizations he may be affiliated with — including the Nation of Islam (which he says he was a member of), Floyd Mayweather’s The Money Team (he’s wearing their hat) and terror groups like ISIS.

“I thought my own stuff; I made my own decisions; I’m the one who gotta listen to the judgment,” Long added.

Thanks.

So this connection to ‘sovereign citizens’ - something the media was excited to highlight over black Muslim or BLM.

It’s this group:

The Washitaw Nation, or Washitaw de Dugdahmoundyah, is a group of Black Americans that claim to be a sovereign Native American nation within the boundaries of the United States.[1] Their name is taken from that of the Ouachita tribe,[2] who are also eponymous of the Washita River and of Washita, Oklahoma. The group is part of the sovereign citizen movement, a movement whose members generally believe that they are not subject to any statutes or proceedings at the federal, state, or municipal levels.[3][4]

The Washitaw Nation was headed by Verdiacee Hampton Goston (also known as Verdiacee Turner, also known as Empress Verdiacee Tiari Washitaw Turner Goston El-Bey, ca. 1927–2014[5]). She was mayor of Richwood, Louisiana in 1975 and 1976, and again from 1980 to 1984.[citation needed] She is the author of the self-published book Return of the Ancient Ones (1993). Goston asserts that the United Nations “registers the Washitaw as indigenous people No. 215”.[2]

Reasons why Lynch (who is in charge of the investigation now) doesn’t want this to be part of a violent group:

1. Conspiracy. Everyone involved would be a defendant. They are likely Black Muslims.

2. Responsibility. Why did Obama stop investigating these groups when we knew they were potentially violent?

3. Investigation. There will be calls to investigate such groups now to prevent future attacks.

This is why the ‘lone wolf’ narrative is politically expedient.

Btw, Hollywood is releasing a Nat Turner ‘kill the white people’ movie in October - a month before the election. Turner murdered women and children.

The shooter’s website and his favorite books.

This one is interesting:

The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander

the-new-jim-crow

This is the title I immediately and robotically recite anytime someone is looking for a book recommendation. By far the most infuriating book I’ve read, but vital for anyone that’s looking to understand why the #BlackLivesMatter movement exists. Why Black people are angry. And why the black father is absent in most Black homes (done so intentionally via the system of White Supremacy). It’s an unrelenting and exhaustively researched book into our system of mass incarceration, which Alexander compares to the Jim Crow laws that justified and enforced segregation in the first half of the twentieth century. If after reading this book you’re still unconvinced that there is systemic abuse and oppression toward Black people, I suggest you check yourself into the mental ward.

****

And look at this about the author:

A longtime civil rights advocate and litigator, Michelle Alexander won a 2005 Soros Justice Fellowship and now holds a joint appointment at the Moritz College of Law and the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at Ohio State University. Alexander served for several years as the director of the Racial Justice Project at the ACLU of Northern California, which spearheaded the national campaign against racial profiling. At the beginning of her career she served as a law clerk on the United States Supreme Court for Justice Harry Blackmun. She lives outside Columbus, Ohio.

TY for the posts.

BTW: Do you recall seeing any Micah Johnson photos with him wearing an ankh?
~~~~~~
Also, 2 news segments on BR updates this morning:
Boris Sanchez — At This Hour with Berman, CNN
he was very active on social media, involved with conspiracy groups and anti-government websites. We know that shortly after the attacks on Dallas, fewer than 2 weeks ago, he rented a car in his home town in Kansas City and drove to Dallas where he filmed a youtube video calling for people to take up arms against police. At some point after posting that video, he came here to Baton Rouge. We don’t know exactly how long he was here, but investigators tell us he was not alone.
We don’t know exactly who he was with or how much they knew about this plot against police officers — Boris Sanchez — At This Hour with Berman
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Happening Now, Fox — Will Carr

As for the suspect, we have learned that he was wearing body armour when he ambushed he ambushed the officers...Not ready to say that he acted alone.

There have been reports that the gunman had links to radical groups across the country...High-ranking member of LEO said that there have been copycats who have gone on social media purporting to be the shooter, so now local and federal authorities are working together to sort out fact from fiction.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BR update presser to be held at 3pm
