Is Memphis one of those places where truth is unwelcome?

Memphis used to be one helluva town until February 12, 1968. The start of the sanitation worker strike that led to the event of April 4th.

For me, it started going downhill in 1964 when a fellow student at my high school was stabbed by a black downtown and everybody stopped going downtown at night after that.
