Mike Lee: you should have voted your ‘conscience’ in the primary, the general is where the American Voters now put who they voted their ‘conscience’ in...if you can’t abide by that, then leave the office you hold!!!

A very good point. Evidently some delegates’ “conscience” doesn’t tell them to keep their word. Strange.

“I’m Only As Good As My Word”
All those who signed the pledge to support the nominee should be reminded of that.

EXACTLY Mike, and the people chose Trump.
Get over it already and get your “garmies” out of a bunch.
I know Lee is liked on here but I never liked or trusted him.

"I think our elections are important," Lee said to the committee. "They are essential and fundamental. Delegates traditionally have been considered honorbound to follow the decision of their state and they overwhelmingly have done so. Historically, it has also been the case that delegates have retained some option, some choice on their own to make their own decisions. In the unusual event that they find some binding reason why they cannot do that."
Translation:
You voters didnt vote correctly. I want some way where we can get people we put into place to vote for Ted Cruz, and this is the only way we can pull that off!!!!

Funny how our "Constitutional Heroes" use double speak about elections being important while giving the "But us politicians should be able to tell the People to go to hell when we disagree with them"....

For those on here who keep saying “Utah is full of Mormons, and Mormons are good, conservatives, and our friends,” I just want to remind you of this moment. I’m not saying it applies to all Utahns or all Mormons, but the hierarchy in Utah is full-bore, establishment nanny staters, all the way. Their attitude is that people should be told how to live their lives, how to take care of themselves, what to think, what to believe, and they don’t appreciate people questioning their authority.

“I think our elections are important, EXCEPT WHEN PRIMARY VOTERS ELECT SOMEONE WHOM I THINK SHOULD NOT BE CHOSEN” Lee said to the committee.
