SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. -- The owner of the Lucky Teriyaki broke down in tears Thursday night and said cops are welcome at his restaurant -- will even get free meals on Monday -- after a public backlash to a report by the Skagit County sheriff said the man had told deputies that law enforcement officers were no longer welcome at his establishment.
The man's son said in a heavy accent that it had all been a misunderstanding and he apologized for the incident.

Too late.
Trust has been violated.
Trust must be earned.
Words are just words.
Good! Too late, though. Screw this guy.
There was no mistake. The owner is only upset because he’s realized he destroyed his own business.
Justice.
Having watched the report, I would say it was no misunderstanding. Do they regret it? Sure. Their business is done.
Nope.
This is an example to others.
I wouldn’t trust the food there after this, were I an LEO.
Here’s your teriyaki bowl with a side of body fluids.
So solly, Cholly, you Numbah 10!
It happened and the mistake was all the owner’s. Sad, but I would NEVER eat there. A Darwin contender.
LOL, I saw this article right after posting in the other thread that this guy as going to go out of business due to his stupid policy,
[Do they regret it?]
The kid said it was a language problem.
Language problem?
Bull cookies!
I velly solly!
Just who instilled his hate for LEOs?
I really said “Do you want soup go with that?” but he misheard me.
I don’t believe it - if you listen to the police officer in the interview, it’s clear. They’re done.
Assuming the owner is telling the truth, he had a choice to make: he could offend the complaining customers by telling them that he did not need their bigotry and that they need no longer patronize his establishment because he respected the police; or he could do what he did and chase away the police instead.
It appears he made the wrong choice.
They could be muslims. I wouldn’t be surprised.
