Microsoft security bulletins are released on the second Tuesday of each month. My bad, I thought it was Soylent Green day.

I stopped accepting MS patches several months ago.

I began using linux in 1994. Currently running Debian, but have used many distributions. Love XFCE GUI, light clean efficient.

You only have until the end of the month to get your FREE Windows 10 upgrade!

Converted from Win XP (which I loved) to Win 7 earlier this year.
First thing I did after I got Win 7 up was to disable M$FT updates. Although I did download and install the Win 7 “Rollup,” better known as Win 7 SP 2.

And, as we all know, hackers take a break after the second Monday of the month.

Should I do that? I have Windows 7 now.

I wouldn’t. I’m perfectly satisfied with Windows 7.
Also, the free version of Windows 10 does not allow you to control your automatic updates. You might have an older printer or other equipment that won’t work with Win 10.

Why would I want a program that would make all my additional software outdated and won’t function and has had the Win bugs fixed already? Then I’d have to spend several hundred $$ to get new ones that are harder to operate with their own new Win bugs in them. Professional Win 7 works. Why rock the boat.
