Michael Savage, the host of the nationally syndicated The Savage Nation, will be inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
Savage told WND he will be inducted Nov. 17 at a ceremony in Chicago in the category of Spoken Word On-Air Personality.
To me, this is the capstone of my life, Savage said, all my writing, all my speaking. This is it.
This year, the National Radio Hall of Fame gave listeners a direct voice in selecting the inductees, allowing them to vote via text. The other nominees in his category were Sean Hannity, Diane Rehm and Mike Francesca.
Savage noted that he had promised his listeners that if he won, he would go to Chicago and during my five minute speech, I would thank them for responding to my message of borders, language and culture.

Thanks to Golden Eagle for the heads up!
Excellent. Savage is a good talk show host.
Congrats to Savage.
Good on YOU, Mike ... you deserve more than the ridicule I often give you.
I don’t disagree, but more significantly I think is the posthumous award to Kidd Kraddick, who was a very nice guy who raised lots of money for his kids charity, and who died of undiagnosed cardiac disease at age 53 at one of his fundraisers. A good reminder to get checked-out.
“Dr”?? What is he a “doctor” of?
I listen to them all, but if I had to pick just one, it would be Savage. No one else can take the mainstream news, combine it with a data point you never knew of, and then decipher what it all means as good as Savage can, especially on a regular basis.
He holds a PhD in epidemiology and nutrition sciences.
...Dr?? What is he a doctor of...
IIRC, he has PhD in nutrition. Yes, it is Dr.
Wieners. He's Dr. Wiener. A PhD, perhaps.. of Wiener.
“He holds a masters degree in medical botany and a second in medical anthropology. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in epidemiology and nutrition sciences.”

Botany, apparently. Medicinal plants.
That is going to goad his chief competitor.
LOL
Congrats, Savage.
Savage’s 2nd quarter ratings dropped a bit in the TalkStreamLive quarterly, but he is still at about a 25 share.
That chief competitor dropped nearly 25% from the 1st quarter to a 4.2 share.
I ended up listening Savage because I never knew what he was going to talk about on his show. The others are the same old, same old anymore.
Excellent!
Ah, so he plays doctor.
In related news, Bieber and Gaga are considered musicians and they play their noise over the same radio waves.
