I had to join Facebook to have postings from a neighborhood watch-information group.

The regular site has its benefits for people who like to see other people's cute kids and puppies and all that. But trust them with encrypted messages? That's insane. The concept is the polar opposite of privacy.

Probably not run by conservatives, but not proven to be a privacy-sucking leftie site like FB yet.
