Lots of good memories of that tune; most of which will remain unmentionable.

A question for anyone who might be of HELP!! Believe the year was about 1986, about the time Peter Gabriel performed on video his tune Sledge Hammer and Grace Jones sang Slave to the Rhythm. The artist/title I seek was IIRC a male vocal with dancing mannequins hanging from the ceiling, on the wall. The mannequins might not have been the entire body but only the legs. The video was frequently seen on Much Music out of Canada and perhaps MTV as well. Does anyone out there have a clue? If you have a clue, please share as we have been searchin' every which away and as yet found nothing.

Could it be Robert Palmer’s “Addicted to Love” ? That was 1986 and had the weird model/mannequin thing...

No, that is one I’m familiar with and REALLY like BTW. A shame he died so young. Such a talent!

The one remembered was a store mannequin’s legs (if not the whole torso}. Seem to remember a pair of jeans hanging as well with the legs that appear to be dancing. LOL it’s been 30 plus years ago and some things aren’t remembered from yesterday. I’ll just keep searching. One day perhaps something will offer a clue. :-/

Thanks! :-)

I’m not an expert on music videos, only it sounded like it might be Palmer’s most famous song. I’m stumped otherwise.

Hey, LS, do you know what this song might be ? You’re the expert on this subject.

Interesting that, once was old is new again. This song released about every ten years Grew up with the Tokens version and do believe that is still the favorite. Thanks! Might have heard the ‘39 version on my mom’s old 78RPM...now long gone.
