He was an understated, outstanding, humble president!

I stated on another thread today that in the 20th century we’ve had only three great to good presidents:

Reagan

Coolidge

Harding

Harding was a dishonest and dishonorable man as he had innumerable affairs repeatedly humiliating his wife. Additionally he surrounded himself w/crooks and frauds; a number of whom went to prison for taxpayer theft. Among them were Harry Daugherty @ Justice and Charlie Forbes @ the VA. Hr presided over arguable the largest financial scandal of the 20th century; Teapot Dome, which involved Oil Reserves earmarked for the Navy Dept; on federal lands in Wyoming.

I’m a student of Harding and his era. Mostly an amiable dunce overwhelmed by the corruption of his friends, Harding has no business being ranked with Reagan or Coolidge. He belongs down with Carter and Obama.

I've always said that Coolidge and Reagan were the greatest presidents of the past 100 years. I'll have to read up more about Harding.

Happy Independence Day!
