I seem to remember the Canadians had an anti-personnel
mine that was like a big golf tee, you stuck it in the
ground then removed the safety ring. It would shatter
a foot or ankle.

That was a long time ago though.
Remember the Russkies had mines that looked like toys
in Afghanistan.

Those Russian mines are terrible, they were all over Bosnia too. They’d throw them around playgrounds, and kids would think they were toys.
