How funny, I immediately thought of this song when I saw the column.

Never heard the Dicky Lee song but it’s nice. Good way to start out the day. I slept late. I’m a lazy bum today, lol.

I adore Dickey Lee. He is just so cute and funny.

He has quite a history - imagine that at the very same time he had the hit song Patches, a song he wrote had become one of the signature songs of all time for George Jones, She Thinks I Still Care.

Just a few years ago, another song he wrote became the theme song to a TV series about Memphis. Even he didn’t know til he started receiving checks. Well, that’s good, he was receiving checks.

Is it more than 10,000 times better than “96 Tears”?

Hope they are still happily married. Didn’t realize the man had written so many well known tunes. Looking at Wikipedia found several new ones that were not known at the time to be his. Dick is 80 years old now. He attended high school in the state of Michigan but was born in Memphis.
