Agreed he did his job. I think he tried to pump a couple of more shots into the terrorist but then decided he better run. I doubt this explosion hurt him; however there were 2 more terrorists he could have been killed by.
That would be the height of unlucky, to kill one, run around the corner, and find another terrorist ready to blow himself up. Not a good visual.
