Three people were arrested with multiple loaded guns, rifles and ballistic vests at the Holland Tunnel Tuesday when police stopped them for driving with a cracked windshield, authorities tell NBC 4 New York.
The three individuals, two men in their 50s and a woman in her 20s who may be from Pennsylvania, were stopped on the New Jersey side of the tunnel around 8 a.m., authorities said. A search of their vehicle revealed the weapons cache.

Drugs were in the vehicle along with the guns, according to one law enforcement official. One of the suspects allegedly told authorities the trio was en route to Queens to try to save a friend who is on heroin and being held against her will. Police are looking for the possible woman in Queens

If police stopped people for cracked windshields in Alaska they wouldn’t have time for anything else. My 2015 Jeep has a 5 foot crack in the windshield and it’s pointless to replace it because the new glass would be cracked in no time. I’ll replace it when I can’t see out of it anymore.

LOL same in WA state. The greenies do not like salt to de-ice so they spread small pebbles during winter. Windshield repair business is booming here. Back in Chicago burbs, where I drove cars for 37 years and total 1 million miles, nary a crack in windshields.

Dem copper once stopped me for what he claimed “giving him dirty look”. He searched my car from end to end, and had to let me go. All I had in trunk was lots of dirty laundry since I was headed to a public laundromat in Chicago. To extract revenge for unnecessary harassment, I followed his police vehicle for half an hour. I think that must have scared him, because he put on his dome light flasher and took off at high speed.

This description would describe those operations.
It is a favorite trick of our intelligence agencies, when they have a terrorist pegged, is to have them pulled over for some minor traffic problem by someone who at least looks like a local LEO. Convinced it is a minor deal, they relax, just when all kinds of LEOs sweep down on them, catching them off guard.
This way, the local cop can testify that he saw a ticketable problem with their vehicle, so no classified information is needed.
