The judge is Mohammed Ibrahim al-Clintoni, appointed last year by Obama on the advice of Anthony Weiner and confirmed by the Senate 99-1, with only Jeff Sessions voting no. Mitch McConnell, bringing the nomination to the floor, received praise from Paul Ryan, who said “this is a proud moment for true conservative values, democrats are the real racists”.
