When Reid, Pelosi and Obama controlled the House, Senate and White House why didn't they pass an "assault" weapons ban??
They save things like that for when the GOP are in majority
It was never a priority for them
This isn’t about a weapons ban, it’s mean to take HIllary out of the news, get her back into it...
This way they can blame it on the cowardly Republicans and deflect they facts that Obama is supporting the muslims.
My idea why:
They don’t care about the guns. They want the people.
They want the people to be arrested and put away. They want us not disarmed, they want us dead.
So by “taking the guns away” we disappear into the fray - and we start to look like other tools and zombies that support them. They need to separate us.
They had their priorities with Crony Capitalists, who wanted the GIVERnment to act as their proxy and strong Arm Americans into slavery and fealty of the insurance companies.

They didn’t want to loose votes. Now they think they can get some votes even if the measure fails.

ANY congressman who would vote FOR a gun ban signs his/her death warrant as a politician.
They piled all their political capital into one objective, passing their version of destruction of the best health care delivery system in the world, known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. Just about everything in that title is an outright lie, except for the date of its passage. It neither protects patients nor provides affordable care.
But it was a very successful orgasm on the part of the Democrat majority in both the House and Senate at the time, and a testament to the “persuasive” powers of a truly tone-deaf Occupant of the Oval Orifice.
BOY, as I glad that my job provided A-1 health care. It was THE bennie we all worked for...that and retirement.
Like most of their agenda, they don’t actually WANT what they are demanding. They want the ISSUE. They keep trotting it out to see if it is “ripe” yet. So far they have been kicked in the teeth every time. Even if they ever get the numbers they don’t intend to seriously enforce gun control, it will be just a convenient reason to punish conservatives (at least in their minds). They all know that no good libtard is ever gonna be charged with gun crimes because that law does not apply to them. Like donating to campaigns, fer crying out loud. So until the polls show the are taking a hit the will rattle their sabers and harrumph but the last thing the will do in this country is tell us turn them in...because they know that will be the last thing they do in this country.
Almost sounds like one of those Alinsky principles Obola and the Beast love so much.

Because just like the NRA the issue is a gravy train for them.
