Brilliant strategy!!! I can’t think of any reason why a person who is listed the terrorist watch list should be legally purchasing a firearm. Very few people would have opposition to this proposal. I’m happy to see the NRA supports it. Takes the “common sense gun law idea” away from liberals and gives it to Trump.

Drudge has a link up about how dhs fears right wing as much as muslims. And that will be the excuse. Probably put most on this site on the no gun list

So let me guess, this so called “terrorist watch list”
is a list of American gun owners. This is how it starts folks.

Divorce? Your name is on the list.
Overzealous law enforcement? Your name is on the list. Conservative? Your name is on the list.
White? Male? Your name is on the list.

Seems to me the state can’t even get profiling and border security right, which seem pretty common sense to me. Lets see them act like they really care about the safety of citizens for a while before we let them use lists, in my opinion.

Who's on the "Terror Watch List"? Who put them on the list? Why? What objective criteria exist for putting people on the list? Where did they come from? How did they get here? Are they even the people the list-keepers think they are? How does someone wrongly on the list get off the list?

How about everyone gets concealed carry permits reciprocated by every state, and do away with “gun free zones” instead?

Not sure where you sarcasm tag is. Note that this latest yahoo wasn’t on a list.He had been investigated but his cases were closed.

There can be no list without due process. The lists we currently have are unconstitutional, imho.

Pubbies need a spine...prohibit gun free zones and watch the death rates drop.

Really? You can't think of a reason?

We are a nation of laws, not lists. Being on a "list" is not due process.

This is a no brainer folks.

The problem with the terrorist watch list is that there are estimated to be 300,000 names on it which were put there in error. Those are the errors. That doesn’t count the fact they may mass-enter names from a database, just to keep an eye on them, like when they inputted all registered motorcycle owners in the gang database for monitoring.

I’ll bet every person who ever joined a Militia is in it, as is every person who ever open carried at a political protest.

Without knowing how these names are being put on the list, I don’t see how anybody could support it.
