French media mocked President François Hollande on Tuesday after he described sexual orientation as “a choice”, in his reaction to the Orlando gay nightclub massacre, comments that had provoked outrage on social media.
In Orlando, “it is America that has been hit but it is also freedom, the freedom to choose one’s sexual orientation and to determine one’s style of life”, Hollande said in condemning “the appalling homophobic killing in Orlando.”
Hollande was speaking as he left the US embassy in Paris on Monday, where he had expressed France's condolences over the massacre in Orlando at the weekend that left 50 dead including the gunman. …

Given that a biological/genetic basis for homosexuality has not been identified and, further, that the behavior cannot be justified from the standpoint of “sacred” evolutionary theory, I’m inclined to agree with Messr. Hollande.
I see no mention of the words “islam” or “muslim” in the article.
The media and liberals are quickly trying to divert from the truth in this story. They’re not willfully ignorant. They know what they’re doing.

You can’t choose sexual partners. It is predestined.
I don’t think many people choose to suffer from a mental illness.
People --- all people -- have all kinds of innate tendencies toward wayward thinking and behavior, including a tendency to homosexuality, arrogance, anger, heterosexual lust, jealousy, self-centeredness, callousness, cynicism, gluttony, greed, laziness, aggression, etc.
This has been known for ages. It is called (old-fashioned word) "concupiscence." It is a result of (another old-fashioned word) "Original Sin."
Having an innate tendency toward "x" is not what makes homosexuals different from the rest of us. It's what makes them similar to the rest of us.
It is a tragic defect in human nature itself.
One you have to struggle with all your life.
It is NOT a license to go out and do whatever the devil you're inclined to do.

Choice, mental illness, nature... I don’t care. It is fine to debate it over social behaviors and morality, but when politicians discuss it I see it as a distraction from the only true political issue; Liberty vs Tyranny.

This is the best example of PC hypocrisy around. The French king says “Choice” and is subject to severe repercussions, and will likely end up on some HRC most wanted list, dead or alive. Omar Mateen, on the other hand, went way beyond such a benign observation to the region of trumpeting his evil proclivities, combining his all-encompassing slurs to promises and fantasies of violence, even carrying out the violence on his wife, and...
