Hi Gang! I finally have the new asparagus bed in, added two root crowns to my ruhbarbs, planted four horseradish plants, two rows of carrots, 24 shallot sets, Yukon Gold and red potatoes, and six hills of Indian Winter Squash.
Our bees are almost ready for the first honey supers.
Strange, but apple fruiting is sparse this year.
Up at our RV now. Our 4 by 4 raised beds are doing well. I will add one more hill of Indian squash and some others tomorrow.
It is going to take some years to get my garden soil in proper condition, but gardening is faith in the future.
What do you have for internet connection at your RV?
It’s all good. Hard work now, is an investment in the future. I was talking to my daughter today. She was telling me she had seen some information on Granny houses.
Little houses that people put in their back yards where Granny can live instead of going to a nursing home, and still have help when needed, but independence too.
I told her she should plan on putting in our backyard, because after all the work we have done, it would be a crime not to - all the fruit and nuts to have with just minimal work compared to what it has taken to get it going.
She acknowledged my point. LOL
