A spokesman for the American Family Association says he was clearly snubbed by Target officials today when he expressed his group's deep concerns about the retailer's bathroom policy.
AFA's Abraham Hamilton III went to today's Target shareholders meeting in Southern California to raise concerns again about the company's policy allowing transgenders to use the bathroom or changing room of the gender in which they say they identify. AFA's concern has been that sexual predators may take advantage of the policy, thereby putting women and children at risk.
"It's amazing. The response really was We don't care what you have to say. We don't care what the American Family Association represents. We don't care what those people who signed your petition represent. We are committed to the complete overhaul of American society as it pertains to sex," says Hamilton. "That literally is their response."
AFA's online petition to boycott Target had over 1.3 million signatures as of Wednesday. Based on this, Hamilton questioned whether Target had done a cost-benefit analysis prior to pursuing its bathroom policy.

He should have used the ladies room at the shareholders meeting. That is probably the only thing that would get their attention.
I wouldn’t put it past this pervert to put hidden cameras in all Target stores.
Put the evil-doers out of business.
Let’s see whether Target cares when sales drop another 5% in the 2nd Quarter.
hidden cameras in all Target stores. I meant in the rest rooms. As for they should have used the lady’s room. I would leave the seat down and use normal aim.
What’s Target?
Anecdotally, the Target near me used to always have about 50%-75% full parking lot. Now, when I pass by there, it's rarely above 25%. I'm guessing they're going to lose more than 5% in the 2nd quarter.
Anybody know the link? I haven’t signed the petition yet.
You just gave me an idea.
"Seats up for Women's rights" or something like that, etc.
Us women who are upset about these edicts should put the seats up after every time we are done with the rest room....it would put a subliminal thought into other women's minds..."Hey, was there just a guy using this before me?"
Same for dressing rooms.
I don't leave unwanted clothes in the women's dressing rooms but many just leave the clothes inside the changing rooms....maybe bring a specific piece of men's clothes into the rooms with your regular ones and leave that in the changing room for the next woman to see - and think - "Hey, was there just a man in here?"
‘We are committed to the overhaul of American society as it pertains to sex’.
This is so unbelievable, the insane delusion of complete power that they have. These people are demented. They couldn’t overhaul anything.
Then they won’t care about my signature on a petition. They WILL care when I let my dollars walk. Boycott is on.
And because Target does not care, I don’t shop there anymore.
This fool is essentially sayin he does not care what millions of potential customers think. If I were a stockholder I would get an attorney. He is destroying a business. People will patronize other businesses. They will have to hire new employees.
Hope the b@stards go bankrupt. They’re already going to burn in hell.
TARGET must be a write-off for it’s owners, its board and investors.
This is not a path one takes who wants to stay in business, or increase profits.
Like more and more institutions, large and small, the business itself exists only as a vehicle to the agenda.
These b@$+@r!s think they are a church, with a mission.
And target has seen a 21% market decline since the implementation of their new policy:
Target (TGT) traded above $83 on 27 April.
Today’s close was below $68.
$15 drop in 6 weeks.
2nd Q reports 16 July.
And if that’s not bad enough, Barron’s (which hasn’t been right about anything in 20 years) rates them a “Buy”.
I seem to recollect that the CEO of Sam’s Club is just as mendacious as the folks at Target. That ALL she cared about was diversity , not the bottom line or anything else.
