Four homeless people face murder charges after using their fists and feet to fatally beat a transgender man in an encampment in Vermont, and then fleeing across the country to a San Diego beach, where they were arrested, officials said on Friday.
The four are accused of killing Amos Beede at the camp in Burlington, the police chief, Brandon del Pozo, said at a news conference. Mr. Beede was beaten up on May 22 and suffered blunt force trauma to his brain, the police said. He died seven days later.
Law enforcement officials said they were not ruling out the possibility that the “brute force” assault on Mr. Beede had been a bias attack.
The suspects — two men and two women — were arrested Thursday night at Dog Beach in San Diego, a gathering place for the homeless. The police in at least three states joined forces to find them, partly with the help of technology that reads license plates and that tracks phones, officials said.
They fled Vermont after the attack and ended up in Roswell, N.M., where one of them had relatives, the police said. There, one suspect, Erik Averill, 21, was briefly taken into police custody after being accused of assaulting his partner, Myia Barber, 22, who is also a suspect in the fatal beating. But Mr. Averill was released, and the four continued their journey to California.

Yeah, they really targeted because he was “transgendered.” My guess is drugs. Just like drugs were the reason that homo WY kid got beaten and everyone held a candlelight vigil for him.
It seems to me that the more reports I read such as this, and the one I just read about the babysitter overdosing a little 8 month old, the only words that come to mind are, thank you, liberalism. It’s at the root of so much destruction.

The media reported that he was killed for being gay, when it was really a drug deal gone bad. His being gay was incidental to the chain of events resulting in his death, not the cause of his death.
But the media are ever eager to manipulate events to push a liberal narrative.
“The chief said the beating started over a dispute in the homeless camp; someone smeared feces on a tent from the south side of the encampment, and Mr.(Miss) Beede was believed to have reacted by dumping urine in a north-side tent, the chief said.”
Who does that???? SHE dumped urine in someone’s tent? No wonder SHE was stomped to death. It’s not the right thing to kill someone over in homeless camps it’s the wild west.
So; this individual was killed by ‘unarmed’ assailants. I find this difficult to believe, particularly since the media has bombarded us over the last 2-3 years with the idea that ‘unarmed’ is synonymous with ‘harmless’.
The beating was in retaliation after it was ascertained he was the responsible party.

That’s basically what it said in this report. She was mentally ill and dumping urine in tents, feces outside of them. Gets stomped to death for doing it. Now people wonder why?

Not only were these people homeless, but they were also car-less. How in the Hell did they travel cross-country to San Diego? Accomplices? Relatives took them there? Lock them all up for being accessories to murder.

Homeless camp? It takes a lot of money to be a real trans-gender, hormone therapy, multiple operations and continuing hormone treatments. So what was it doing there?
Help me out here - when the [so-called] press says 'transgender man' is this a man who is aspiring to be a woman a-la Bruce Jenner, or is this a woman trying to be a man, a-la Chastity Bono?
Of the four accused, only one actually looks as if he could be homeless, and he’s the mean looking one, too. The other three look a little too suburban and well kept.
When the mainstream press (NYT in this case) says “transgender man” they mean a woman who says she is a man.
