A Florida university has offered scholarships to a woman who made the viral Facebook video showing her laughing hysterically as she tries on a Chewbacca mask.
Southeastern University announced Monday that its president presented Candace Payne and her entire family with full tuition scholarships.
President Dr. Kent Ingle says Payne, from Texas, inspired the university with the joy she expressed on her video. He says the school wanted her family to experience some of that joy in return.

The current value of the majority of college degrees is about zero so free is the correct price....
I still don’t get what the big deal is about that video.
So the woman can emote, fine. Put her in an ad selling more masks. But for this video to have gotten over one million hits...why? Some will automatically retweet if they are directed to by a message with the right Emoji.
It’s an annoying video.
