It reminds me of gay Disney's ESPN "Body Issue," where they thought sports fans would want to look at nude black sports athletes. Yes, every little boy wants to see his favorite ball player butt naked. Disney has their finger on the pulse of what America wants!

And now, we all want to read about the Soccer! It's sweeping the nation. You know, that guy? He kicks the ball in that championship- I forget the name of it. But it's what is trending!

The sports media is overwhelmingly liberal.

You helped open the borders and then get pissed off when it effects you?

It’s Tuesday in Obamaland. :)

Of course they went with Prince Fielder for baseball. Truly typical body for baseball, for sure. Why not Bartolo Colon?

Sports Illustrated is to sports fans what the New York Times is to Republicans. It vies with HBO’s “Real Sports” on who can be more “progressive” and less relevant to the fans.Left wing owners and even more left wing editors and writers. Don’t expect SI or HBO to do an investigation on how Curt Schilling was treated or to say something complimentary about NASCAR. Their coverage of soccer is propaganda to desensitize Americans as their borders are opened to the world. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world and as world citizens, Americans must learn to like it.

I guess this guy wasn't walking around midtown-Manhattan just after the USA-Germany game in the 2014 World Cup ended. Every bar had a stream of people leaving. The place where I watched was packed with standees.

Saturday afternoon much of the World will stop to watch the UEFA Champions League match. Not all of these folks, myself among them, are illegals.

(The guy I think is the best active player in the World, Cristiano Ronaldo, plays for Re-al Madrid. He will be playing. I think the game starts at 2:45 PM EDT on FOX, with pregame BS before that. If you're one of those who thinks soccer is boring, just watch Ronaldo. He might change your mind.)

It’s a column inches thing. SI has so many pages to fill no matter what. And the fact is this is one of the deadzones in the sports calendar. NBA playoffs usually aren’t that interesting (though the western conference final have developed in an unforeseen direction), as beautiful as the NHL is it’s a niche sport, the baseball season doesn’t become interesting until the All Star break, no football. But they still have pages to fill with something. And so they found some soccer tournament, which at this point is at least as popular as the NHL.

Just last night as I was getting my hair cut, the hairdresser, who is also the owner of the shop, said she has noticed changes in what kind of magazines people read in the shop. One she specifically mentioned was that men no longer pick up the Sports Illustrateds and she said she might dump that subscription because nobody reads it. Most popular, in addition to People, were food magazines.

Watching kids play soccer is fun. I’d sooner have a colonoscopy wide awake than watch higher level soccer.
