Individual coyotes will not attack a full grown man because we are too large. Packs will occasionally attack a man, particularly if he wanders too close to a den with pups.
But with any predator never turn your back on one.
In Ohio the Coyote is considered a nuisance animal and can be hunted year round. So if it is legal to fire a weapon where you live in Ohio you can shoot one. Your state maybe different.
I have had several in my yard but have never been able to get my rifle in time to take a shot. The just seem to pass through my yard on their way somewhere else. Trouble is my wife objects to my keeping my rifle handy.
