Teresa Heinz Kerry says shell step down as chairwoman of the Heinz Endowments and her three sons will fill the position in a series of four-year rotations starting this fall.
The plan was released Monday after two years of discussions with the foundation's board of directors and its top executive. It was unanimously approved by the 14-member board. Heinz Kerry, 77, plans to step down in October to pave the way for her sons.

Her husband was going to replace her until they found out his endowment was too small.

Not sure if relevant, but Heinz is deeply invested in Venezuela.

Not sure if relevant, but Heinz is deeply invested in Venezuela. I hadn't heard that. How deep is deeply? Has their production been nationalized? If not, how did they escape that fate? Just curious--I didn't think any external company could make a go of it in Venezuela since Chavez took over.

I believe she had a stroke or something similar several years ago. Used to see her quite regularly in the news in Ma. until then.

I vaguely remember that She was very attractive when young. Glad she is sharing the responsibility with her sons.
