Yes, they do. And a researcher has found that those records don’t match some of Plumley’s claims. The commander at Fort Benning has said the records do appear to show that Plumley was not awarded a second Silver Star and that his Bronze Star did not have the “V” device and that may have to be corrected on his gravestone.
The man who uncovered that also claims that many of the other claims about Plumely cannot be supported by his records.
Haven’t we learned that people who brag about themselves tend to overstate their accomplishments.
