The legendary 49ers linebacker, who retired in 2015, is now a khaki pants-wearing, 9-to-5 office worker at Open Source Storage, a tech startup in Campbell.
Willis currently serves as the executive vice president of partnerships and is on the Open Source Storage advisory board. And, according to a profile in Mashable, those aren't just empty titles; Willis puts on his button-down and shows up to work every day.
"Monday through Friday, Willis commutes to work at a Silicon Valley office park," writes Mashable. "He's got a list of favorite lunch spots nearby. Sometimes he takes video calls from home, or instant messages with colleagues after hours."
Willis, who recorded 950 tackles in his career, now handles most of the hiring interviews for OSS, which provides data storage for other tech companies.

You know, that is the great thing about Silicon Valley...
9-5 job, go home at 5 everyday, don’t need to be too smart...
Lots of jobs for retired football players....
Wall-to-Wall /sar
2007 Wonderlic score = 12
I am too old and out out of shape for a football career that is apparently a great ticket to high paying technology career.
This is a kickback for something.
Silicon Valley startups hire the best and brightest.
I worked there for 15 years and worked harder than I ever have in my entire life.
I actually worked 28 days without a break one month.
This guy is NOT qualified to work the security desk.
2007 Contract = $53.51 million contract for 7yrs.
I’m with you on the way he got there.
A few years ago, I was doing some decent sub-contact stuff for Dell and a state agency.
I liked it and the rollout and had the job down to a science.
Towards the end, three job openings came open for support.
I had my application in the next day since it was online and out of the four, had the most experience, some certification, and a very good track record with references.
I didn’t get so much as an acknowledgement. There was a screw up ex college football player that was fawned over no matter what.
I don’t know what became of the slots and if any of my cohorts got in. If the ball payer got one, I would be amazed if he lasted a few months.
For what it is worth: With a Wonderlic of 12 this guy has the IQ of a kicking tee.
