A Chinese guest in my house - a college student - criticized Trump for wanting to build a wall. This was last weekend.
I pointed out to him that China built a wall. He shrugged as if to say “so what, you’re nitpicking.”
I had to leave the room, I was so mad.
Should have asked him why China built it? Was it originally intended only as a tourist attraction?
I’ve lived in China.
China has one of the most hostile immigration policies in the world, as do most Asian countries.
Nobody can immigrate to China, unless they are Chinese. I think there is an exception for people who marry Chinese (I’m not 100% sure) but otherwise their entire immigration policy is hostile to the West.
And we do nothing, about that. Nothing. We sell out American manufacturers to China, who maintains 51% ownership, we do not expect anything in return, and WE are the ones criticized?
The entire immigration debate is so skewed as to be completely laughable.
Except it is completely serious. And our side is asleep.
Completely asleep.
Good post.
They built it to keep out invading Mongols, so yeah—he was special pleading. Nice catch.
My only regret in this otherwise fascinating primary election season is that, after facing two debate pussycats (McCain, Romney), Obama feels free to take pot-shots at Trump, but Trump won’t be able to break Barry down on live TV into his essential elements: waste matter and methane.
Build the wall. Tear down Uniparty. Go Trump, win win win!
