Sad thing is, I am not overweight, which is why I ignored my tiredness. ‘Thin on the outside, fat on the inside’! They put me on drastic (to me) Clean Diet so my eating is better. Doc said when it gets too hot outside, I should do the bike.

I would still advise walking first. Work up till about 3 miles in 45 min. Then add a backpack and some weight. Start at 10 or 15 lbs and work you way up. My daughter does 60 lbs while she walks with me. I am not carrying any weight at this time due to needing a should reconstruction surgery from a fall.

You might think about getting a bicycle and a “wind trainer” or “mag trainer” for it. The “mag trainers” are quieter. That way when it is nice out you can go for a bike ride. The thing that will actually help the most is if you find a friend who can start this adventure with you. My wife and I love to tandem bike ride which enables us to ride together even though we have different abilities.

The bike “trainers” are often available on craigslist or garage sales for very inexpensive prices. We have a trainer that works with our tandem bicycle.

DO NOT GO ON A DIET !!

Just start eating healthier. I dont drink 4 liters of My Dew every day any more and feel much better.

Dont forget. “medical errors” has moved into 3rd place in what kills most of us in this country.
