Have they always tested for marijuana exposure in fatal road crashes, and the rate has doubled? Or are they testing more and thus finding more. The article is ambiguous about that.
By they way I smoked marijuana often when I was younger, and it made me a far less safe driver. Not as bad as alcohol, by a long shot, but far less safe than if sober.
Because they want more money and power and the way they get it is by rounding up suckers with reports like this to support expansions of their budgets and authority.
