I’m sure Hillary appreciates everything you did by paying good money to see a movie put out by her supporters, so they can turn around and give Hillary a cut.

Not me. Picked up a pirate copy at the flea market for 2 bucks BEFORE USA release. BTW, I thought it was mediocre. (Wife did too).

Below is just one of many articles posted here about Hillary Clinton’s 2000 Senate campaign that resulted in the collapse of Stan Lee Media. Lee's business partner Peter Paul embroiled Lee and Stan Lee Media in the scandal of Clinton's gala Los Angeles star-studded fundraiser, where Lee allegedly laundered a $100,000 donation from Paul to fund the event.

Do a search on "Stan Lee" "Peter Paul" Clinton. Here is a FreeRepublic constrained search.

CLINTON DESTRUCTION OF STAN LEE MEDIA WILL STOP HILLARY

Peter gave over $1.6 million in-kind to Hillary's 2000 campaign because of Bill's promise to come to work for Stan Lee Media for one year. Instead, Bill's business advisor, slimy Jim Levin (a strip club owner and on the Clinton Lie-brary board) used proprietary info to steal SLM's Japanese business partner. They recorded the agreement with Levin and Tendo Oto (with Bill as silent partner) in Illinois just six days after her Nov. 2000 election. SLM had a serious cash crunch in Nov. 2000. When Oto's 5-7 mil did not come into the American company as promised, SLM company collapsed. Investors lost 100 mil in the public company thanks to the interference of the Clintons.

Here is a Wikipedia link regarding Paul v. Clinton. All changes against the Clintons were naturally dismissed by the courts.

Factcheck.org attempts to debunk all claims of Clinton knowledge of the fundraiser, but the article nonetheless goes into great detail about what happened. It even contains references to FreeRepublic's own late John Armor (Congressman Billybob).

Hillary Clinton’s national campaign finance manager David Rosen was indicted on charges of underreporting $800,000 of costs related to the event. In 2005, Rosen too was acquitted of all charges.

All that said, it's nice to see that Lee was able to rebuild his entertainment empire on the strength of his imaginative characters.
