I find that metal keys do a reasonably good job of locking and unlocking doors. The trick is to match the right key with the lock.
The problem with metal keys, Ken, is that you can’t walk around with your butt in the air and look down on all the low-tech types that use those ancient artifacts.
No difference than people needing to own Teslas - a car with ZERO practical value, but something you can hold you butt in the air with as you show it off.
Many years ago a smart guy told me “locks keep honest people honest”. Unless your house/garage/car are built to a very unusually high standard, that’s still the case here.
