Thank you for the post.
Thank you for the post.
In before all the “Hollywood is Dreck” and “I’ve not been to see a movie since Casablanca” posts.
Someone missed the point.
I’ll go see it. I guess I am a mind numbed fan-bio.
Anyway, I thought the civil war meme came from the comic books. So it’s not exactly a new theme.
Eh. I’m seeing it tonight with my family and we’re looking forward to it!

The author is way overthinking this.
From a Christian review site:
RECOMMENDED FOR: Marvel fans, people who enjoy a fight but want an alternative to election coverage, dates (eye candy for everyone!), families (several good teachable moments).
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR: Squeamish types, viewers who don’t appreciate sci-fi, sensitive souls who want to avoid violence, and people with no sense of humor.
“Horrywooood!” — 1941
Indeed. Marvel started the story line 10 years ago.
“The author is way overthinking this.”
Clearly a DC fanboy, probably upset that Batman vs Superman was so widely panned by critics.
Civil War on the other hand is getting rave reviews, not so much for its deep moral complexity but because it’s a kickass action movie. I’m looking forward to seeing it in 3D IMAX while I’ll wait for B vs S to become available at home.
I really hated the comic book Civil War series (being an old Spider-man fan) because it ultimately wound up with Peter Parker splitting from his wife. Hated that! In any case, it was boring.
Rather amusing that the author thinks the character of “Black Panther” is “blacksploitation” for today’s audience. His origin was in the 1960s. . .
You do recall that overthinking things and fandom go hand in hand?
Have you heard my theory that it was Darth Plagueis who abandoned the Rule of Two and trained different apprentices for different roles in his mater plan? /runs away!
Since NRO is wrong 100% of the time this movie must be AWESOME!
RE: Since NRO is wrong 100%
Like when they recently said the $15 minimum wage will cause a rise in unemployment for the poor and young?
It appears the author either watched a different movie, or watched it through agenda colored glasses. This review has little resemblance to the movie it mentions.
Yes, they’re wrong sometimes but you said 100%.
