Move aims to protect wife’s rights
Wives in Saudi Arabia will be given a copy of their marriage contract for the first time to protect their rights, newspapers reported on Tuesday.
Justice Minister Waleed Al Samaani instructed courts in the Gulf kingdom to issue two copies of the marriage contract so wives will also get one.
“This will guarantee wife’s rights as she needs such a document when there is a dispute in court with her husband,” Samaani said.
Of course since they are not allowed to have any schooling they won’t be able to read it.

What rights would those be? Definitely does not include the right to not get beaten.
Plus the husband can just say “Talak” three times and he’s considered divorced!
Except that in Islam, the rights of women are ensured by making them the constant responsibly of a male family member or husband.
Islam frees women by cementing their status as chattel. And they love it.

Lot of truth to that. Their value system is alien to ours, we see their treatment of women through our Judeo-Christian lense and are repulsed. Yet we see many western women rushing to join that retrograde faith and take the burqa. They weren't born to it or trapped in it, they want it.
The women can have their contracts, but the men say, “We don’t need no steenkin’ contracts.” The courts usually side with the men.
What could possibly go wrong?
