I disagree. Americans have been brainwashed into believing the psychobabble crap spewed by Marx, Nietsche, etc. because it morphed into all the psychobabble crap spewed by American authors like Miller, author of Catcher in the Rye, etc. Not a coincidence that most of those authors wound up under scrutiny from the HUAC.

Yes it would. Nietzsche was one of the best apologists for atheism ever. Yet, modern atheists shun him because he didn't hesitate to acknowledge that the only alternative to theism is nihilism. Nietzsche not only acknowledged this but embraced it and went on to suggest how society should be based on it. C&P is very much the other side of that. This article was an excellent review.
