Actually, he was stating that he would be replaced by a constitutonal conservative. That means that you have a choice. Trump is hard to figure out because he is a populist. Bobby Knight’s response when he was asked why he supported Trump even though the criticism of him was that he was not a conservative was, “I’m not sure what a consevative is.” Trump’some appeal is that he is a populist.
