I have two mixed breed pit bulls. I consider owning them the same as owning any weapon. When in my back yard they are secured and I go out with them, when we go for walks they are in harnesses and on a leash and I would never leave them unattended in my car.

We have had two houses on our street recently burglarized and they are in my home for protection. I am a responsible dog owner and I have always owned large guard dogs. They have both been properly trained and I have had them since they were tiny puppies.

Our veterinarian rescues pits and trains them and she has never had an issue with one of her dogs. Hundreds have passed through her facility.

I don’t think I belong in prison. I haven’t done anything illegal that I know of.

What ever happened to the idea that it is not the weapon but the intent? Want to make pitbull harmless? Stop breeding them with over aggressive breeds like Chihuahuas, eliminating the race.

I walk in a public park nearby and, sure enough, was confronted by a pit bull, off leash, when I rounded a corner. Thankfully, I wasn't attacked. The owner, a typical libtard who fancied herself as able to control the beast, took pains to tell me that they had spent $2,000 on obedience lessons for the mutt.

I now carry a .38 special and pepper spray, and am quite ready to use either if necessary.
