Sometimes I can't listen to these songs of my youth because they are just too poignent. Other days the memories are just good memories.

God, i’m about to cry lol.

I wasted so many years. (didn’t seem like it at the time”

misspent the youth (thought I wasn’t)

thought I had forever (I didn’t)

took friends and GFs for granted (didn’t know I wouldn’t be 20 and strong and a loner forever)

ouch lol

I can’t believe you perfectly put into words what I feel when a certain song comes on! Music brings up so many emotions & feelings. Some bring back the yearning of youth & others break your heart again. Thank you ; )

I frequently find depth in those old tunes that I failed to perceive or appreciate when I was a youngster. The occasional pang of regret, sorrow or longing is okay - it reminds me that I'm still alive.

The people I truly feel sorry for are the younger generation, whose music will offer so few poignant feelings in twenty-plus years.
