Without their leadership position in OPEC what does the House of Saud - there is no “Government of Saudi Arabia” as we understand the term “government” - offer anyone?
Once you understand this truth which is NOT taught in any graduate level international politics/government courses your understanding of World and Middle Eastern politics becomes much clearer.
IMO the Government of Saudi Arabia pretends to be moderate muslim in order to provide their stooges plausible deniability. Their ultimate goal is to spread Islam and Sharia law around the world.
