What I've found is that only two people have fought him, and both kept their property rather than accept his most generous payout offers; and the one stubborn, anti-development loon in Atlantic City eventually lost out enormously through her own selfish greed and trying to game a guy she thought would pay any amount, no matter how outrageous. He simply built around her and her home continued to be a blight, and recently sold after her death for far, far less than he had offered; she deprived her own heirs through her own stubborn intransigence.
If you think I would automatically get stubborn and turn down a generous or even an equitable offer and stand in the way of a beneficial development, preferring to deprive my neighbors of the benefits, you are assuming a lot; and you don't know me at all.
