Donald Trump hasn't even been nominated yet but that hasn't kept Politico from engaging in wild speculation about what they claim could be his impending impeachment. The Politico fantasy takes us on a time travel trip to the summer of 2017 which goes into such detail, you have to wonder if author Darren Samuelsohn has been indulging in an overabundance of magic mushrooms. The funniest thing of all is that Samuelsohn concludes by pretty much stating Never Mind! See, it probably won't happen so why engage in all this impeachment speculation in the first place?
So let us now watch Politico engage in fantasy impeachment:

TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: donaldtrump; impeachment; politico
So after an elaborate impeachment fantasy buildup, the author basically says NEVER MIND! It probably WON'T happen.

We had that one guy send out a tweet about assassination to take care of the Trump problem. So, I’d say talking about impeachment is an improvement.

They haven’t even BEGUN to hammer whoever the eventual nominee is. The PTB are in the bag for Hildabeast. The GOP nominee is gonna get steamrolled.
And then here is election fraud (not voter fraud which is nil) that NO ONE talks about and that just blows me away. Conservatives should be all over getting rid of those E_Voting machines.

If it is to negate an election, that sounds like a good way to get DC burned down.

If Trump were somehow elected, an impeachment process wouldn't be surprising.
Just as you would be hard-pressed to find a GOP Senator that would vote FOR sustaining an Obama impeachment, it would be just as difficult to find Republicans that would vote against throwing the Donald out.
Such is life inside the Beltway.

If the only effect of Trump being elected is that Presidents will fear impeachment again, the benefit to the nation will be incalculable.

Trump quoted it against Cruz (if memory serves) about one week after denouncing it. Politico is like any other major publication. If they break a story they break a story. Even if it is slanted, they may report on something worth passing on. Rush Limbaugh often cites it as a preferred leaking organ for the GOP-E, but sometimes reads it in its own right.
Even the good stuff out there is only re-processing the swill that comes from the New York Times, Associated Press, Reuters, Washington Post and CNN and the other alphabets. The best of the group is the U.K. Daily Mail, and they aren't even based here.
