He was arrested for trespassing in a no pedestrian zone. That is fine. But the cops had no right to search his phone for photos.
I remember in old America, you could take a photograph of anything you could see. Now we are acting like the USSR with growing restrictions on taking photographs.

This is the same as the neighborhood geezer who is sure that residential burglaries are preceeded by 3 or 4 weeks of “casing”.

They didn't have to search the phone....They saw him taking pictures...at 5 AM.

Now they can try for a warrant to search it...

Except that Muslim terrorists do precede their next actions with several weeks of casing.

There is often a rehearsal too, just before the big event.

But even without a definite scheduled event, Muslims will harass the infidels by "acting suspiciously", just to desensitize security forces and ordinary civilians.
