Jeffrey Dahmer's childhood home will be available to rent during the Republican National Convention this July.

The 2,170sqft home in Bath Township, less than 30 miles from where the convention is being held in Cleveland, costs $8,000 for a week.

Kind of ironic if the GOPe rents the house of a cannibal.

” ... residence’s current owner Chris Butler is selling the location for $234,900, ... “

What kind of person would have bought that home?

Is this a childhood home? I thought he committed the crimes in Milwaukee.

The article says this home is where he killed his first victim.

Maybe to rebuild? Bath is a very beautiful and desirable place to live.

“Asspress doing guilt by association to Dahmer, who was indeed from Milwaukee,”

You are incorrect! Dahmer was from Bath, Ohio, about 15 minutes from where I’m sitting. Killed his first victim there. Then moved to Milwaukee.

Looks like a fine example of a 50’s contemporary house. Too bad about the history. Most people won’t want to live in a house where a murder has occurred, especially a heinous one such as this.

From the article:

Homeowner Butler says he put up the listing on a whim to 'suck some Republican gelt from those people'.

Yeah! I like the house. Tasteful Mid-Century Modern. And Bath is very beautiful.

Looks like a drop ceiling was put in, probably during the 70’s? That living room had a cathedral ceiling with exposed beams originally, I’d imagine.

Nice Philco Predicta in the living room. Very fitting for the house. I wonder if the tv has been converted to color? There’s a company that does that, but it’s not cheap!

I sort of miss televisions being substantial, like furniture. The big screens and resolution are nice, certainly better than the old tubes, but something got lost in transition. I recall my family’s first color tv, it was a console model with a stereo in a nice cherry cabinet and doors to cover the tv when not in use.

“Looks like a drop ceiling was put in”

Looks to me like a partial droop ceiling. Full height at the window wall. I definitely like the house! The yard is beautiful too,,,, except for the bone chips lying around. My Cousin has a horse farm just down the road.
