They weren’t saturated with comic book supermen back then. But of course, escapism in general has the problem of numbing people to dangerous realities.

And then we had to watch the dreck that came out of that war. Let’s face it, most of those movies sucked too. In fact, most movies suck.

I love going to the movies. I like a little escapism. There are very few new stories under the sun. I like popcorn. If I have to watch super heroes in spandex...I guess that’s what it takes.
