Enjoy!! I certainly did Another respite added for those days that get us down. All that is needed is the fragrance :-))

Until you mentioned the garden itself by name, had never heard of it. From what was seen, it is a landmark in the US and the renovation was very extensive with in the park. All the water works alone was a remarkable feat. Spouse does that type of work (landscape irrigation) so a bit familiar with what it entails. The pumps alone are very temperamental.

Another very special spot in the area is Winterthur.

The DuPonts certainly left their mark with gorgeous gardens. Especially when the rhodies & azaleas in April bloom. Words cannot describe it. It's considered a *wild* garden.Also another DuPont estate which includes a super collection of rooms of rare American furniture [1630 to 1860.].

I love this little area of the country. Chadds Ford, and the Andrew Wyeth museum is great....pretty setting...not so much in the way of gardens and formal planning. But the work of the Wyeths needs no apologies. :)
