I disagree.
What we are watching is the death of a political party
and the continued slow death of a republic.
I think in both cases, we are looking at a future of Soviet style socialism.
In the very near future.
At one time I thought I would be long dead before it happened, but now, I expect it well with my limited lifetime.
How could the death of an out of touch political party be a bad thing? Ever?
I am afraid you are right. Which is why there will be an all-out attempt to come for our guns. Then it’ll be show time.
Agreed 100%. What Trump has given us is a "Hail Mary pass" opportunity to save the nation. Unfortunately, the DC crowd and the not-so-invisible hand that controls them won't risk four years of a "time out" to clean up their act and develop some younger talent with leadership skills and vision.
I never cease to be amazed what a small number of people in leadership roles, from DC right down to local governments is not totally part of the destruction of our nation. Perhaps the best of a bad situation is for it all to come tumbling down while there are still some folks around who have the cultural memory and skills that made the US great, back before the assault on our uniqueness as a nation began.

There will be, and fast becoming, a void ...so “something else” will be quick to replace it and that doesn’t look to be a good thing by any means.....to watch this “Republic” be shaken as it is is more than troublesome because as I see it there’s nothing good in line to replace it.
They’ve pretty much fractured the Conservative wing of the party already......won’t take much to do the rest in where things are at currently.....and the Demorats are loving it.
