I have four very intelligent kids who are now young adults. None of them really care about politics (and are proud of that) and all are liberals.
Wait till they get to college.
My nieces were intelligent non-political until college.
One came back a Social Justice crazy, the other I still have hope she isn’t going to trash her life.
They were taught in college that you become ‘conservative’ as you get older...now is the time to be radical.
