ATLANTA (WXIA) Thanks to very generous tax incentives, Georgia has become a major production headquarters for television and motion pictures, with some of the largest grossing films and most popular television series over the past several years calling the state home.
One of the biggest production houses Walt Disney Company, and its Marvel Studios subsidiary have released a statement saying they will take their business elsewhere if any legislation allowing discriminatory practices be signed into state law, a clear indication of opposition to House Bill 757, which was passed by both houses of the Legislature last week.

Next, a Walking Dead walk out!
Good. GTFO. And take your lame films with ya. Tired of being bullied by the gaystapo.
Good, wish more libtards would take this idea and leave the country, period.
Cubby and Old Yeller would rest easier
Let ‘em go.
There are many other film directors other than Disney who would love those leasing terms in Georgia.
Disney is a notorious hotbed for liberal homosexuals. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I just hope that the RINO / Chamber of Commerce wing of the Georgia GOP doesn’t cave as a result.
I can’t watch ONE NEW ####ig show without f....ts being in it.
if it’s a 3 person act, 1 will be a f...t
you would think the percentage in the population is maybe 25 percent and not 2 or 3, if you went by TV.
They can go to Raqqa
Once upon a time corporations and movie producers invested and risked their own capital to produce a movie or make a product. That’s all changed today so that taxpayers are forced to invest in their crap and then they reap the rewards if successful. If it fails taxpayers pay and they walk away whole just like Wall St 2008. This is corruption not capitalism.
I havent read HB757. But given that Georgia has driving and alcoholic beverage laws which discriminate on the basis of age, Disney is evidently looking for a new state to call home.
Note that the only age-related, constitutionally enumerated protection that the states have obligated themselves to respect is voting age minimum as evidenced by the 26th Amendment.
Let them go to Saudi or Iran — they’re a terrible influence here and corporations have no business trying to undermine our social ethics and morals.
I notice the article doesn’t delineate what is in the bill.
Bye Bye!!!
You don’t like our state and our rules, get the hell out!
No great loss for us...we don’t want your stickin’ liberal values....
Taking their toys and leaving because THEIR preferred discriminatory practices aren’t enforced in law any more.
Good riddance to Gaystapo.
Yeesh. Man I hadn’t thought of Alpha Flight for years, what a way to remember.
