After sleeping on it, I too have decided that I can no longer support Cruz. I plan on voting for Trump in Illinois on Tuesday. I do, however, wonder if Trump who blamed Pamela Geller for the terrorist attack on the Draw moohamed contest, would still do so today.

I voted for that scum in Texas. I wouldn’t do it again.

I already voted, so that doesn’t change. But it changes the way I see him. It was a cheap shot. For a guy trying to woo Trump voters, the ones being attacked, it was really tone deaf.

Trump has certainly said and done things that rubbed me the wrong way, and we overlook them because of other qualities we see in him. We should of course give Cruz the same benefit of the doubt.

But until now Cruz has been clearly the better man in my eye. After today he has come down a couple of notches. No politician is ever perfect, of course, but I was certainly holding Cruz to a higher standard than the one I hold others to. Cruz disappoints me because I expected better.

I agree with you. But I come from a hardcore longline military family and the pact GOT YOUR BACK looms very large in our legacy. That is why what Cruz did is unthinkable to me and unacceptable. Not trying to be mean, just hoping you understand.

I totally understand. Cruz may well have ended his campaign with this, whether he knows it or not.
